It’s hard to imagine that a family, friend, or neighbor that maybe homeward bound, has lost their job, disabled or living on a fixed income will be without food for their table. The reality is, they are. Those who have nothing will make do with what they have in their cupboards, if they have anything at all. The Monacan Food Bank wants to help those families that struggle daily feeding their children. The seniors that are alone living on a fixed income and will make do with a cold biscuit from the leftover breakfast they could barely afford. We know that 1 in 12 families in our community will go hungry this season and the joyous time will be filled with suffering instead. We’re asking for your help. This season of "Thanks" and "Giving" your donation will put a smile on many faces who otherwise would be hungry. When we help others, we receive the joy that comes from giving.
